I don't live in San Jose, but when I visit, I stay here. I pay half the rent. My friend lives and works in San Jose. The electric "arrocera" is a must-have for most kitchens in Costa Rica. Rice is cooked in it and the national dish seems to be a rice and beans mixture called "gallo pinto."
